VOLUNTEERS are being sought to help out at a fun day which raises money for Yorkshire Air Ambulance and local charities.

This year's Rawdon Fun Day will take place on June 3, and organisers are asking more local people to come forward to help. Volunteers can help out before, during or after the event in areas including the bar, barbecue, stalls, marshalling and the car park. Anyone who wants to help should visit www.rawdonfunday.co.uk.

Children will be treated to free attractions this year, including face painting, a craft stall where they can get involved and have some fun, and a potter’s wheel.

The 2017 Charity Auction, which took place in January, made a grand total of £4833 which will be given to charity after the Fun Day. Organisers are stressing that 100 per cent of the profits from the fun day will go to charity.

The event will take place at from 11am to 7pm at Redbeck Field, Layton Road, Rawdon, LS19 6QS, opposite Horsforth Golf Club.

It is being billed as a "great fun day out for all the family" with music, fairground rides, bouncy castles, barbecue, beer and champagne tent and a variety of trade stalls.

Displays, in the main arena, will include Xtreme Stunt team and Bob Hogg’s Lamb National and Sheepdog and Duck Display. There will also be live music.
