Pool 1 Shelley 0
POOL continued their good form with a hard-earned West Yorkshire League Premier Division win.
Shelley had the best of the early exchanges, but it was Pool who broke the deadlock.
Man of the match Josh Wagstaff showed great determination to win the ball on the left and force his way through, putting in a shot that the keeper could only parry, Scott Cater following up to finish the job.
The second half saw Pool on top playing some excellent football, and producing many chances.
On occasions the finishing could have been better, but the Shelley keeper pulled off several class saves.
Shelley rarely troubled Andy Doey in the Pool goal in the second half, with the three points more comfortable than the scoreline suggests.
