A RECORD £21,000 was raised at a breast cancer charity's annual fashion show.

More than 400 guests attended the Blossom Fashion Show staged by Breast Cancer Haven Yorkshire. Celebrities Kay Mellor, Gaynor Faye and Billy Pearce were among those attending the Leeds event.

The 34 models taking part have all had experience of breast cancer and had used the charity’s free support service in Leeds. The Haven provides a programme of care to anyone affected by the disease. The programme includes counselling, complementary therapies, emotional support and information. The charity helps women and men from all around Yorkshire who have been affected by breast cancer, many of them from Aireborough, Wharfedale and Horsforth.

Breast Cancer Haven Manager, Debra Horsman, said: "We are thrilled to have raised more than ever at this truly special event."
