Cllr Paul Wadsworth added: "The library provides an ideal space for events and lectures and I hope that people will show their support by coming along. The JB Priestley and Richard III talks look really interesting, and are sure to be enjoyed by seasoned history and drama buffs, as well as newcomers."

Cllr Graham Latty said: "These events really show the value of having the library play a role in the local community. They benefit the local groups who put on events, the wider public who attend them, and of course the library itself. I hope the Rawdon Library will play host to many more events of this type in the future."
