YEADON Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society is urging local Valentines shoppers to support their community and give the gift of local theatre tickets this February.

Yeadon Amateurs, who’s forthcoming show Made In Dagenham is showing at Yeadon Town Hall from March 7 to 11, is urging shoppers to put money back in to their community and to use special occasions like Valentines, birthdays and anniversaries as an opportunity to do so.

Peyton Martin, director and choreographer of Made in Dagenham for Yeadon Amateurs said: “Amateur theatre really is at the heart of providing for our community. It brings people together both on and off stage and the feel-good factor that it generates is immense. If you have never seen a show like this before, or you are looking to buy a gift, I cannot urge you enough to come and see what we do, knowing that not only is it a great night out, your money is going straight back into your local area.”

Made in Dagenham tells the inspirational story of working class women at the Ford manufacturing plant, campaigning against all odds for equal pay. Their determination, self-belief and sheer hard work led to the introduction of the 1970 Equal Pay Act, which has changed the lives of women across the UK. Performed by Yeadon Amateurs and directed by Peyton Martin, it is on stage at Yeadon Town Hall from 7th to 11th March. For tickets call yaods.amateurboxoffice.co.uk or call 07468 107304.
