NO fewer than 63 cask ales will feature in this year's Otley Beer Festival.

The 2016 event takes place at Otley Rugby Club, on Cross Green, from noon to 11pm on Friday, November 18 and Saturday, November 19.

It will also include up to six craft keg beers along with 15 types of cider and perry.

Sixty two of the featured beers will be from Yorkshire breweries, including 12 that are new to the festival.

Among the special brews will be Astraluna from Otley's Briscoe's Brewery - created especially to celebrate the release of local musician Jennifer Birch's debut album.

Jennifer will be one of a number of musicians who will be performing live - without charge - at the festival.

Hot food and snacks will also be available and admission costs £3 which includes a souvenir glass and programme. Beer tokens, meanwhile, will be available in £5 per card batches.

Organised by Otley RATS (Real Ale Tasting Society), the festival raises money for a variety of good causes and Otley All Saints Parish Church each year.

Prostate Cancer UK, Otley Defibrillator Campaign and Down's Heart Group will all benefit from the proceeds this year.
