A new to you toy sale on Saturday raised £200 towards the new Burley Scout and Guide Headquarters
BURLEY Scout & Guides held a new to you Toy Sale on Saturday to help raise funds for their new headquarters.
It was a very successful event and these three Brownies had a great time helping to sell the toys. Over £200 was raised towards the proposed new HQ & we would like to thank everyone who supported us.
Sue Vint, Leader of the 1st Burley-in-Wharfedale Guides said: "Many of the youngsters who meet at the hut are involved with fundraising and enthusiastically washing cars, naming teddies, taking part in sponsored swims and so on. It's great they are so involved. It's a real team effort!
"Fundraising is continuing with well over a quarter of the £400,000 required now raised."
