RESIDENTS in Burley-in-Wharfedale will be able to question BT bosses about broadband coverage at an open meeting next week.

Shipley MP Philip Davies said many constituents have contacted him over the years with problems but more needed to be done to secure high speeds in the area, and so he contacted telecom bosses inviting them to the area.

Mr Davies said: “I have always tried to assist with personal issues on this matter but many of the broadband coverage issues are community wide. Therefore I thought I would invite BT to Burley in Wharfedale, which has the most broadband coverage in my constituency, to meet my constituents and explain their plans for the area.”

BT will explain how their Superfast West Yorkshire programme is rolling out across the country and explain how they can help those who are not in commercial or broadband delivery plans.

The meeting will take place on Friday, October 7 from 6 to 7pm at Queens Hall, Main Street, Burley in Wharfedale, LS29 7BT.

Places are limited so contact sophie.dean@parliament.uk or 01274 582272 to book if you wish to attend.
