AN INTERACTIVE family show 'like no other' is coming to Otley Courthouse.

Cardboard Joe and the Book of Mysteries combines storytelling, cutting edge live animation and music - and lets the audience control the action.

Every performance will be different because the young spectators will, with main character Joe, make up the story together and then see their ideas brought to life using real-time animation.

The new, specially commissioned production will be performed at the Courthouse at 2pm on Saturday, October 8.

The show has been made possible through the work of the Small Venues Network which the Courthouse is part of, and which works to bring some of the most innovative theatre, music and literature events to the region,

Last year the network put a call out for a new show that would excite and engage their audiences, and Cardboard Joe and The Book of Mysteries is the result.

The Courthouse describes the production as "a celebration of all the fun and magic of making up stories and letting your imagination run wild" that should especially appeal to children who love cinema, storytelling, music or animation.

Tickets for the Otley show cost £6 for children and £8 for adults and can be booked by visiting otleycourthouse.org.uk or calling (01943) 467466.
