AIREDALE Hospital boss Bridget Fletcher will be among the speakers at a major event next month.

She will address the fourth meeting of the Yorkshire & Humber Health and Wellbeing Ecosystem, a partnership of organisations that aims to increase uptake of digital health technology to improve patient care.

Miss Fletcher is chairman of the Yorkshire and Humber Digital Health and Wellbeing Board, as well as chief executive of Airedale NHS Foundation Trust.

The meeting – at Pavilions of Harrogate on September 14 – is being co-hosted by the Yorkshire & Humber Academic Health Science Network.

Its theme will focus on how digital technology can help people to continue to live independently in their own homes.

The network's head of investment and partnerships, Philippa Hedley-Takhar, said: "We hope as many existing and new members as possible will join us and be ready to contribute with new projects in mind and learning to share with others, so that we can continue to develop the regional digital health landscape.

"We have an exciting agenda planned and will be sharing information about a range of activity."
