RUNNERS presented more than £2,000 to charities after a fundraising half marathon.

Members of Baildon Runners gave £750 each to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, the spinal injuries charity Aspire, and The Intensive Care Foundation. The group, which has members from Menston and Guiseley, raised the money with this year's Baildon Boundary Way half marathon.

The cheques were presented by race director, Emma Stoney, who is a founder of the Over the Odda race, which raises money for Hawksworth Primary School.

She said: "It is a real pleasure to be able to support the work of these local charities through the money made at the Baildon Boundary Way. The race remains a firm favourite amongst local runners and we hope the race continues to be a success in the coming years."
