THE jury in a Burley-in-Wharfedale Post Office robbery trial was today retiring to consider its verdict.
Recorder Mrs Taryn Turner was concluding her summing up before the panel began its deliberations at Bradford Crown Court.
Eder Ruiz (pictured) denies robbing sub-postmaster John Garforth and his wife, Patricia, assistant at the Post Office, shortly after opening time on May 19 last year.
Ruiz, 25, formerly of Queen’s Court, Station Road, Otley, now living in Manchester, is accused of holding up the couple with a water pistol to steal £1,800.
The trial continues.
