AN Ilkley art graduate has been chosen as a rising star and will have her work showcased to millions as part of a national initiative.

Hattie Clark, an graduate of Bath Spa University, will see her work displayed on digital screens in rail stations and shopping centres UK-wide until Sunday and in Creative Review magazine.

Ten graduates have been chosen, as part of the talent spotting initiative run by Creative Review with outdoor advertising company JCDecaux. This highlights up-and-coming art and design talent from universities and colleges across the country.

Hattie said: “I am over the moon to be given such a great opportunity and platform to showcase my work by Creative Review.

"My artwork explores being a fan and the highs and lows of supporting my Rugby League team, Bradford Bulls.”

Creative Review editor, Patrick Burgoyne, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to be able to run Talent Spotting with JCDecaux again this year.

"Last year’s project was one of the most exciting we have done. Giving recent graduates such huge nationwide exposure was a real thrill – for both them and us! It was wonderful to see the reaction to the work up and down the country. I’m sure this year will be even better.”

JCDecaux creative content director, Russell Gower, added: "This is the second year that we have worked with Creative Review to bring the work of new design talent to an audience of millions, celebrating the next generation of artists across our digital channel.

"We are delighted to bring this inspiring work for the public to enjoy when they are out and about.”

The nearest shopping centre to Ilkley where Hattie's work can be seen in the Trinity Centre in Leeds and at Leeds Railway Station.
