NEW wreath-hanging frames have been installed at Otley's Memorial Garden.
Otley town councillor Peter Jackson (Lib Dem, Ashfield) came up with the idea after seeing Remembrance Day wreaths being blown around and damaged.
He spoke to the Royal British Legion and local families last year about his idea of getting hanging frames put in place, and received overwhelming support.
He then discussed his plans with Leeds City Council and Cllr Sandy Lay (Lib Dem, Otley and Yeadon) before approaching Otley BID, which agreed to fund the project.
Cllr Jackson said: "The racks were installed last week by Garnet Fabrication and I thank Otley BID for making this possible.
"The display of wreaths will now be prominent and easier for people to view, and to read the many tribute cards left in honour to all fallen service personnel."
