FAMILIES experienced a 'wonderful day out' at the 2016 Askwith and District Show.
The 60th anniversary event took place on Saturday, June 11 and attracted lots of people despite some morning drizzle.
Visitors enjoyed viewing the traditional display classes for horses, livestock, produce and handicrafts and were also treated to some new attractions - including a popular exotic creatures handling stall run by Reptile Rangers.
Show Secretary Adele Marston said: "We had a wonderful day, the weather held off and everything went according to plan!
"The children's entertainment went down really well, and children and adults absolutely loved the Reptile Rangers stall where they could handle snakes and other animals.
"It was their first time at the show and a definite hit.
"The attractions in the Main Ring - which included Terrier racing and a sheep dog display - were very popular, too.
"It was a good, all-round show."
The event also featured a dog show, a display by Airedale Beagles and a fundraising raffle in aid of Otley-based children's charity Hang on to a Dream.
Show-related memorabilia from the past six decades was displayed, too, to mark the 60th anniversary.
