The boy was airlifted to hospital by air ambulance
A 13-year-old-boy is in hospital with a serious head injury, say police, after being airlifted from a road accident in Ilkley.
The teenager was on his scooter when the incident happened with a red Volkswagen Golf just before 5pm on Saturday, in Valley Drive at the junction with Wyvil Crescent. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening, said a police spokesman.
Police are investigating.
