THREE 'first generation graduates' have received gifts from Otley Lions.
The club presented congratulatory certificates and £100 worth of book tokens to the students during St Mary's Menston's recent Sixth Form Presentation Evening.
The awards were made to Kaylan Casserley, Emma Twohey and Caroline Turnbull.
A spokesman for Otley Lions said: "This year we were delighted to recognise three students who had taken this wonderful leap forward as the first member of their respective families to be admitted to university."
The group's President, Eric Booth, attended the evening to present the prizes.
