MOTORISTS faced rush-hour delays yesterday after emergency repairs following a sewer collapse in Rawdon.
The the A658 Apperley Lane remains closed both ways due to emergency repairs and after a sewer collapse between B6152 Micklefield Lane and A65 New Road Side. The road has been shut since Saturday.
A Yorkshire Water spokesman said: "Our technicians are on-site and we are doing our best to repair the collapsed sewer and re-open the road as soon as possible.
"It is possible that the road may not re-open for up to two weeks but we will do our best to fix it sooner than this. The diversion will remain in place until the sewer is repaired and road re-opened."
