WHARFEDALE District Cubs cooking competition recently took place at Ben Rhydding Scout Hut.

Six teams from the district cooked a two-course meal consisting of spaghetti bolognese and a fruit flan. The Cubs were given the ingredients and then asked to make the meals without any help from the leaders.

They were judged on taste, presentation and teamwork.

Everyone did really well and enjoyed their cooking experience.

The winning team was from Menston St John's Cub Pack and consisted of eight-year-old Gus Burrows, ten-year-old Rory Henderson and nine-year-old Brody Duckmanton.
