THE BISHOP of Richmond has held his very first confirmation service - in Guiseley.
The Rt Rev Paul Slater confirmed a group of ten people, including children and adults, during the Sunday morning communion service at St Oswald's Church.
The candidates included three members of the same family, and the bishop admitted to some nerves as he began the ceremony.
The Rector of St Oswald's, Rev David Pickett, said: "Congratulations to Frances, Jayne, Michael, Liberty, Lauren, Leon, Eliska, Molly, Helena, and Romany, who all took the decision to be confirmed into the worldwide Anglican Church.
"Thanks also to all the members of our congregation who made the service such a great success."
