THE MANAGER of an Otley retirement housing complex has celebrated 25 years in the post.
Judith Rushton marked the occasion by laying on cream teas for everyone at Gordon Larking Court on Saturday, July 18.
More than 50 people attended including two of the site's longest-staying residents, 96 year old Ruby Swan, who has lived there for 29 years, and Margaret Holgate, a resident of 18 years standing.
Court manager Judith, who lives on-site, said: "It was a lovely day and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
"I'd put on a cream tea for everyone and we had a ball.
"The residents also gave me the most beautiful bouquet which was a great surprise.
"I started working here on July 18, 1990. It's been wonderful and I hope to continue for a long time.
"I come to work with the intention of giving it my all and I think I do that."
Marie Pullan summed up the residents' appreciation of her efforts. She said: "Judith's a really lovely lady who can't do enough for us."
