STILT WALKERS, yoga and dance were among the attractions at Rawdon's third village show.

The community turned out in force to help make the event a huge success - helping to raise £1200 to benefit local people.

The show, which took place at Rawdon Community Library, featured impressive creative talent. Judges viewed more than 160 entries in categories including baking, embroidery, flower arranging and jelly in a glass, as well as categories aimed at younger entrants such as decorated pebbles and vegetable monsters. It was organised by the library and Rawdon Littlemoor Parent and Teacher Association and the proceeds will be split between the two organisations.

Highlights of the afternoon included Guiseley Brass Band, kids yoga and races, WYSPA Dance and daring stilt walkers. Pudsey, Horsforth and Aireborough MP Stuart Andrew was one of those attending the event.

Spokeswoman Rachel Frazer said: "Organisers of the Third Rawdon Village Show would like to thank all those who came along to support the event as well as all those from the library and Rawdon Littlemoor's PTA who volunteered their time to make this such a positive and rewarding event. Plans are already afoot for the fourth."
