FOLLOWING two successful open days at its Leeds city-centre home, there is less than one week to go for Yorkshire’s future ballet stars to submit their applications to audition for the Academy of Northern Ballet.
The only Centre for Advanced Training specialising in classical ballet in the UK, the Academy of Northern Ballet is directly affiliated with Northern Ballet’s professional company and provides world-class pre-professional training for the ballet dancers of the future. Application forms can be downloaded from northernballet.com/academy and must be submitted to academy@northernballet.com by Sunday, March 1.
David Nixon OBE, Northern Ballet’s Artistic Director and Director of the Academy of Northern Ballet said: “The Academy of Northern Ballet is one of the leading classical ballet training schools in the UK and the only facility offering the highest level of pre-professional training in the North of England. Our focus is on recognising talent and nurturing our students to give them the technical training and mentoring they need to develop as dancers.
“At the Academy of Northern Ballet, we are proud to be able to offer the highest standard of training on the doorstep of young people who are within the Yorkshire region.
