SCHOOL staff and students are pledging to make the internet a better place as part of this year’s Safer Internet Day which takes place on Tuesday February 10.
The theme this year is “Let’s create a better internet together” and part of this has involved everyone at Ilkley Grammar School making a pledge.
Staff and students were all challenged to pledge how they could individually make the internet a better place, for example through a good digital deed to help friends, family or the wider community online.
The pledges were far reaching, from promises to improve social media behaviour, to protecting members of the family by helping them understand how to stay safe online.
Head teacher, Helen Williams, has encouraged students to use this opportunity to see how they can help make the internet a better place.
