THE ARTISTIC creations of two Pool-in-Wharfedale schoolchildren will adorn the walls of thousands of homes and businesses next year.

Paintings by nine-year-olds Reuben Bhogal and Francesca Gooch, both Pool C of E Primary School pupils, will feature in Dacre, Son & Hartley’s 2015 calendar.

The estate agent had asked children from schools across the region to paint the view from their classroom to be considered for different months of the year.

Francesca and Reuben, like all the winners, have been presented with artist’s hampers for their efforts.

Dacre, Son & Hartley director David Phillip, who heads up the firm’s Otley office, said: “Our annual calendar is now in its eighteenth year and it’s always hugely popular and well-received by our residential and commercial clients. “It’s fantastic to be able to invite local school pupils to participate in this competition and this year we received hundreds of entries, which made choosing the 12 winners a very difficult process.

“The pictures by Reuben and Francesca, however, really stood out and we’re delighted to include them in the final calendar.”
