PUPILS of Acrecliffe Equestrian Centre have had a fantastic year in the Ilkley Show Points Championship.

The shows are run by Ilkley and District Riding Association on a monthly basis from April to September, with points awarded on a cumulative basis for placings.

These are then totalled after the final show of the season and awarded at the annual dinner, which took place on Friday, November 14.

Three of the pupils at the Otley riding centre, who are taught by Anne and Fiona Everall, won the overall points championships for each of their age groups.

Acrecliffe’s full results this year were as follows: Katie Smith, Champagne Charlie, 2nd Tack & Turnout not exceeding 138cm, 1st First Ridden Showing not exceeding 138cm, 3rd Lead Rein First Pony Show Hunter Type, 4th equitation 12 years and under, 1st novice equitation 12 years and under, 3rd Childs First Pony, 2nd Novice Showing, 1st Handy Pony, 4th Ridden Veteran, Overall Points Champion 12 & Under.

Rebecca Sharp, Beach Belle, 1st open showing not exceeding 158cm, 1st Show Riding Horse/Hack, 1st part Bred Showing, Overall Points Champion 13 to 17 year; Tracey Bastow, Carrick, 1st Open Showing Show Hunter Type; 1st Tack & Turnout exceeding 138cm, 2nd part bred showing, 1st Equitation Over 13 years, 1st Ridden Veteran, Overall Points Champion 18 Years.

Olivia Harrison, Lady Jet, 2nd Novice Working Hunter Pony not exceeding 143cm, 2nd Tack & Turnout exceeding 138cm, 2nd Novice Equitation 12 years & under, 1st Childs First Pony.

Michelle Latham, Galaxy Quest, 1st novice Equitation 13 Years & Over, 1st Family Horse or Pony, 3rd Veteran in Hand.

Molly Pearson, William, 4th Tack & Turnout exceeding 138cm.

Acrecliffe is a family run equestrian centre set in 30 acres on the outskirts of Otley.
