TWO girls have given up inches of their own hair to help a child suffering hair loss, in memory of their aunt.

Long-haired Chloe Nelson, 14, and Niamh Todd, 8, each had about seven inches of their hair cut off at LS29 Hair Team salon, Skipton Road, Ilkley.

The girls, who live in Ilkley, are donating their hair to the Little Princess Trust, which provides real hair wigs to youngsters who have lost their hair while undergoing cancer treatment.

It costs £350 for the charity to pay for each wig, and Chloe and Niamh are inviting local people to donate to this cost.

The two decided to make the donation in memory of their Auntie Dee, who recently died of cancer.

So far, they have raised almost £300. Donations can be made online at their grandmother's Just Giving web page, justgiving.com/Janet-Nelson.
