A KIND hearted young musician has raise more than a hundred pounds by playing at the Ilkley cafe where a collection box was recently stolen.
A box containing hundreds of pounds for a mum who is battling Multiple Sclerosis went missing from the counter of La Stazione cafe, Station Plaza.
A regular at the cafe offered a reward to anyone who comes forward with information which will lead to the conviction of the person who carried out the crime.
But another member of the community, young Ella Hammond, went out to help replace some of the money, by busking with her trumpet outside the cafe at the weekend.
She played for about two hours on Sunday (July 27), collected an impressive total of more than £130.
Her father, Dan, said: "Max and the other staff at the café were amazing and supportive and the good people of Ilkley not only gave generously but also spread the word on social media."
She is considering busking outside the cafe again, in an effort to help raise more money to replace the stolen donations.
