Fun for all the family is being promised at this year's Community Fair in Otley.

The event, featuring a variety of games, rides and live music, takes place at Prince Henry’s Grammar School from 3pm to 8pm on Thursday, June 26.

Visitors will be able to take part in everything from laser quest battles to 120 ft long assault courses, 'chair-o-planes' and giant inflatables.

Other attractions will include go-karts, donkey and pony rides, fairground games, face painting and a chocolate fountain.

Organised by the Prince Henry’s Association, the annual event will also feature free activity coaching and pool and tombolas.

And the school's sports hall will be packed with arts and crafts stalls selling homemade bread, jewellery, chutneys, gifts and more, on the day.

Prince Henry's Association chairman Laraine Barnes said: "Everyone is welcome at the Community Fair, from current and future students to parents and grandparents to local people looking for something a bit different at the craft fair.

"It’s a real community event with lots of ways to spend your time - a great mixture of free entertainment and activities for just a few pounds.

"There will be a lovely mix of food to purchase as well, so visitors can really enjoy the event and stay for a while.

"We are hoping for good weather so that everyone can enjoy lots of fun and food in the sunshine.

"We still have room for stalls, so if anyone wants to join the fun they can contact me by calling (01943) 467654 or sending an e-mail to larainebarnes@aol.com.”

Entertainment on the day will come from rising local bands Demoralised, Random Behaviour and the Puppeteers.

The three groups, whose members are students or former students at Prince Henry's, have all been chosen to play in the final of Martin House Children's Hospice's Centre Stage talent competition next month.
