Planning permission will be needed to board up disused public toilets beneath the King’s Hall, Ilkley councillors have been told. Ilkley Parish Council wants to replace railings on the entrances to the toilet blocks with wooden doors, to improve the appearance of the front of the public hall. The move is expected to end calls for the toilets to be refurbished and reopened for public use. But despite initial discussions with property owner Bradford Council, the Parish Council has now been told planning permission is required for the work.
