Girls from 1st Burley Brownies joined children from the Brownie and Cub packs in Burley to take part in sleepover at Eureka Children’s Museum in Halifax.

The sleepover had a health theme as part of a science week at the museum.

Leader of 1st Burley Brownies Sharon Hattersley said: “The girls were entertained by a performance about medicine through the ages – plagues, leeches and ancient Egyptian first aid included!

“They took part in a Dragon's Den- style workshop, deciding which health hero to support, and had time to explore the galleries of the museum before settling down to bed around midnight.

“It was fun to sleep in the museum, a very different location to our usual sleepovers. We were woken by the museum staff bright and early for breakfast before heading home. One of the Brownies summed up the event with one word – awesome.”
