Ways of commemorating the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War will be discussed in Rawdon this week.
Pudsey MP Stuart Andrew is inviting residents to a meeting to discuss how they can mark the centenary and pay tribute to all those who lost their lives in the conflict.
It will take place in Rawdon Library from 6pm to 7pm today.
Mr Andrew said: “Along with many local residents, I agree that it is important to remember the events of 100 years ago and commemorate all those who lost their lives.
“World War One was a huge turning point in history and it is important that we as a community get together and decide how to pay a fitting tribute on the occasion of its centenary.
“Therefore I would like to invite as many people from Guiseley Yeadon and Rawdon to join me at Rawdon Library on Friday.”
