Bolton Abbey is opening its grounds for Tour de France campers and spectators from Friday, July 4 to Monday, July 7.
The estate is perfectly positioned for access to Stages One and Two of the Grand Depart.
The race hugs the southern boundaries of Bolton Abbey on day one and penetrates the heart of the Duke of Devonshire’s Yorkshire estate on day two.
The camp site will be next to the Cavendish Pavilion, which will be open from dawn to dusk for everything from a full Yorkshire breakfast to a wholesome dinner and for guests to watch the highlights of the race. Pitches will cost £105.
The estate is also offering car parking for those who wish to just come for the day and places can be reserved at a cost of £10.
