A mum of two is celebrating after reaching the finals of the UK’s MAD Blog Awards.
Kirsty Smith, of Ben Rhydding, has reached the finals of the fifth annual Mum and Dad (MAD) Blog Awards, which celebrate the UK’s thriving parent blogging community.
Her blog, Eeh Bah Mum, is one of five finalists up for the Most Entertaining award.
More than 200,000 nominations were submitted in the awards this year, with just 75 blogs reaching the finals. Kirsty said: “I am chuffed to bits to have reached the finals as it means I get to buy new shoes.
“I started writing a blog when I moved back to Yorkshire with my young family and it’s grown from there. I have been busy practising my disappointed face, or as I like to call it, my face.”
Kirsty will find out if her blog is a winner in September, at a red-carpet award ceremony in London. For the next month, readers can vote for her blog at the-mads.com.
If Eeh Bah Mum is named the winning blog, Kirsty will win a television.
