An improved timetable for bus services between Leeds Bradford Airport and the city centre has been hailed by a local councillor.

The change means the 757 Leeds to the airport service will now run every 20 minutes, which Councillor Ryk Downes (Lib Dem, Otley and Yeadon) described as “fantastic”.

Coun Downes has some concerns that other alterations made to the 33 and 33A services, which run between Leeds and Guiseley or Otley respectively, and the new X33 service could be confusing.

He said: “I would recommend that anyone who regularly uses public transport check whether their bus times have changed to minimise any impact on their journeys.

“The extra services added to the 757 service is fantastic news but I urge residents to contact me if they have any reservations regarding the timetable changes to the 33, 33A or X33 services. I will try to address any concerns.

“Anyone with access to a computer can find the new timetables by heading onto my website or Twitter feed, where I have them posted.”
