A food shop near Pool-in-Wharfedale will begin serving afternoon teas from this Mother’s Day.
The Local Pantry Shop and Café, at Leathley, is adding afternoon tea to its repertoire in response to public demand.
It will feature a selection of sandwiches, savoury pastry bites, canapes, scones with preserves and a selection of cakes.
The Local Pantry Shop’s owner, Suzannah Hepworth, said: “The introduction of afternoon tea is in response to the many requests we have received from customers.”
The business is taking bookings for tea between 2pm and 5p on Sunday, March 30 – and says anyone who mentions this article when booking will receive a complimentary seasonal flower posy for their mothers.
