Menston residents are invited to attend a traffic management consultation event on Tuesday, from 2pm to 7pm, at Kirklands Community Centre.

The event is an opportunity to view the proposed traffic management scheme for Menston and traffic and highways officers from Bradford Council will be available to answer queries.

The plans will be on display in Menston Library for a week after the event.

The event will also be attended by Dr Steve Ellams, chairman of Menston Community Association, who said. “There has been some controversy about this event in that it is directly related to the proposed housing developments at Derry Hill and Bingley Road.

“I will be in attendance at the meeting, as will experts in Highways from Bradford Council plus other interested parties.

“The Parish Council has already put in a detailed report on road mitigation for the village and through efforts from all parties including the Community Association the village has managed to get this consultation.”
