The Donkey Sanctuary’s Eccup centre will hold a fundraising 15th anniversary ball this year.
The Black Tie and Diamonds Ball doesn’t take place until September, but a launch event for it will be held at Leeds’ Marriott Hotel tomorrow – Friday, February 14.
The charity, which each week provides free riding therapy to young people with special needs, will have two children with Down’s Syndrome – who are regular visitors – at the launch. Also present for the 2pm to 3pm event will be two of the centre’s donkeys along with Leeds Rhinos player and Donkey Sanctuary supporter Jamie Jones Buchanan.
A representative of Irwin Mitchell, the main sponsors of the ball, to be held on Saturday, September 27, will also be attending.
