An electricity company has been praised for its swift response to a power cut in East Carlton.
Northern Powergrid provided a new generator and free hot drinks for villagers within two hours of being contacted by the area’s MP, Greg Mulholland.
The MP for Leeds North West said he was told about the power cut at about 5.30pm on Friday, and got in touch with Northern Powergrid. The company provided a new generator and a service van with free hot drinks by 7pm.
