Activities will be offered to young people in Outer North West Leeds after councillors agreed £14,000 funding.

People in Horsforth, Otley and Aireborough will benefit from the programme, which will include music production, creative writing, youth clubs, sport, drama, dance and gymnastic sessions, skateboarding, holiday activity camps, circus and street play.

The sessions, are receiving funding from Leeds City Council’s Outer North West Area Committee.  Committee chairman, Guiseley and Rawdon councillor, Paul Wadsworth, said: “I would like to thank Councillor Pat Latty and her sub-group for all of their hard work and efforts to make this activity programme possible. I am sure that with the variety and depth of activities that will be on offer in the area in the near future that there is something for every young person to access.”

Coun Latty, who also represents Guiseley and Rawdon, said: “We listened to young people who gave us their input into what activities would benefit them most.”
