Schoolchildren will help remind people of the true meaning of Christmas at a concert in Yeadon this week.
Youngsters from Queensway Primary School will perform at the Yeadon Amateur Operatic Society concert tomorrow, Friday.
The traditional concert will feature carols and Christmas songs, accompanied by Otley Brass Band.
Publicity officer Jayne King said: “The rush up to Christmas can take all the enjoyment away for a lot of people – the true meaning can often get forgotten in all the frantic arrangements.
“Our concert takes the audience back to the core value of Christmas, especially this year with nativity songs performed by the excellent choir from Queensway Primary School.”
As well as traditional carols and up-to-date songs, the audience can also expect a feast of mince pies and mulled wine.
The concert takes places at 7.30pm at Yeadon Town Hall. Tickets can be reserved on (0113) 250 5587 or (0113) 250 3032.
