Wharfedale Observer: John Burland as Wainwright John Burland as Wainwright

The Otley-based founder of the Wainwright Society will be taking his dramatic one-man shows about the famous fellwalker back on the road next year.

Previous performances of An Evening with Alfred Wainwright, which sees John Burland ‘becoming’ the renowned guide-book author, have already raised thousands of pounds for various charities Mr Burland is hoping to build on that by staging more shows in the spring and autumn of 2014 and would like to hear from any groups or charitable bodies that would like to book him.

Funds from the appearances will help raise money both for the groups concerned and John’s own chosen charities.
