Churches Together in Ilkley are hosting an information evening about the reforms to the welfare system on Wednesday.
Incommunities welfare reform director Dave Dickens and the programme manager for Advice Network, Nick Hodgkinson, will be the speakers at the event at Christchurch, The Grove, starting at 7.30pm.
Incommunities manages nearly 22,500 rented and leasehold homes as well as running employment programmes to make a positive impact on peoples’ lives.
Advice Network is a network of independent advice centres across the Bradford Metropolitan District which provided information and advice about social welfare law and rights.
The minister of Christchurch and Ben Rhydding Methodist Church, the Rev Rob Hilton, will chair the evening.
He said: “We need to know about changes to the welfare system to help those who are entitled to support. For many Christians this is a matter of justice as well as compassion.”
