We also have stalls selling plants, books and nearly new ornaments, jewellery and so on in aid of our charity Yorkshire Air Ambulance. On Sunday we have a sponsored walk, entry £5, around Swinsty Reservoir followed by tea at the heritage centre. Meet at 1.30pm at the Stack Point car park. All members are welcome and non members too. Come and try something new at our interest groups: gardeners, choir, discussion group, readers and recreation. Details from (01943) 850121 or e-mail email@example.com.
WOMEN’S INSTITUTE: Well ladies, here we are in September looking for ways to keep up our interest through the long dark evenings to come. A visit to your local WI can help you make new friends, learn new hobbies or share existing ones, or just chill out and enjoy the varied entertainment while being pampered with tea or coffee and buns, usually homemade. At our next meeting we will be introducing Tony Burkett with a talk on the History of Lincoln. We will also be planning the whereabouts of our September luncheon date. So, please come along on Wednesday at 7.15pm to the Cross Green Community Centre in Otley where a warm welcome awaits you.
BRIDGE CLUB: On Monday, August 26, five and a half tables played 24 boards, winners: 1st Mrs Banks & Mrs Colley, 2nd equal Mrs Livingstone & Mrs Young and Mr Rothwell & Mr Taylor.
