Trumpeter will be joining the choir for Ilkley show

Steeton Male Voice Choir will be joined by 18-year-old trumpet soloist, Charles Tomlinson, for a concert in Ilkley on Saturday.
The concert, being performed on behalf of the Rotary Club of Ilkley Wharfedale, will take place at All Saints Parish Church, Church Street, on March 23.
Mr Tomlinson, from York began playing at the age of seven and has been practising hard ever since.
He is the Flugelhorn player for York Railway Institute Band, and also plays trumpet in various bands in the York area, including 2nd trumpet in the D.B.Big Band. He is now studying for his A-levels at Joseph Rowntree School sixth-form and is starting a four year degree course at Birmingham Conservatoire in September.
The choir is still on a high after winning the Harvey Newdall Premier Trophy Award in Leeds on March 3. Tickets cost £8 and are available from Ilkley Visitor Centre, or tel (01943) 431534 or tickets @steetonmvc.co.uk.
