Anyone up for the Tiffin Cup, asks Horsforth MP
3:49pm Friday 22nd March 2013 in News
An MP is inviting people to nominate their favourite restaurant for the annual Tiffin Cup, a competition celebrating the best of South Asian cuisine.
Ten entrants from around the country will be short-listed and invited to a special cook-in at Bellamy’s Restaurant in the Houses of Parliament, where the overall winner will be found.
This year all proceeds will be donated to World Vision, whose mission is to transform the lives of the poorest in the developing world.
Stuart Andrew MP for Pudsey, Horsforth and Aireborough, said: “The restaurant industry plays an important part in our national and local economy, and also a key role within our social fabric.
The Tiffin Cup is a great opportunity to celebrate the champions, innovators and entrepreneurs that contribute to the South Asian restaurant industry and I would encourage all my constituents to vote for their favourite.”
To nominate a restaurant, e-mail stuart.andrew.mp@parliament.uk or write to Stuart Andrew, The Shaw Rooms, 98 Thornhill Street, Calverley, Pudsey, LS28 5PD. The closing date is March 24.
