Ilkley society presents French film

Ilkley Film Society's next presentation, at 8pm on Sunday at Ilkley Playhouse, is the religious-themed Hadewijch.

It is a haunting and mysterious film from France in which a novice nun from a wealthy family returns to Paris where she meets a charismatic Muslim religious teacher and political activist. She finds that her deep desire to be closer to God draws her towards an appalling act of terrorism.

Tickets for those who are not members of the Film Society are £4 (students £2), and can be reserved by phoning Richard Fort on (01535) 653471.
