Horsforth Golf Club held its annual dinner dance in the clubhouse recently when the main guests were the president of the Leeds & District Union of Golf Clubs, Tony Steen MBE, and his wife, Susan.

Other guests included the club president, Christine Greenhalgh, the gents’ captain, Steve Cottle, ladies’ captain Kate Kershaw, ladies’ president Joan Cooper and some of the club’s professionals, Dean Stokes, with his wife, Leanne, and Simon Booth and steward Chris Taylor.

Simon’s and Chris’s wives, Becky and Katrina, joined them at the table after cooking and serving the meal as Becky is the club’s catering manager and Katrina was assisting.

Formalities for the evening were a ‘welcome to our guests’ by the club president, Christine, and a reply on behalf of the guests by the Leeds & District president, Tony.

A bouquet was presented to Susan Steen who then drew the raffle tickets. The remainder of the evening was dancing to Chequers with a girl vocalist, one man on keyboard and one on drums.
