Pupils and staff at All Saints C of E Primary School in Ilkley dressed up for the day as they took part in World War II Day.
Year 5 and 6 pupils have been studying War and Peace and to enhance their learning they took part in the day, before their half term break.
Pupils and staff dressed up, and many came as evacuees equipped with mock gas masks.
They stepped back into history and lived the life of a child in 1940. They took part in mock air raids, made simple toys to entertain themselves, took part in a music hall sing-song, made their own ration books and cooking and tasted their own recipes.
