Some “enchanting” family fun is being promised when Aladdin comes to Yeadon this month.

Yeadon Charities Association will begin an eight-night run of the pantomime at the Town Hall on Saturday.

The evening shows take place at 7.15pm, and there will also be 2pm matinees on January 19, 20 and 26.

The group has been working hard to incorporate some impressive special effects and dance routines, choreographed by Wharfedale Festival of Theatre award-winner Christine Braid, into this year’s production. The show is also truly a family affair, with five family groups taking part in it.

They include sisters Eavie and Imogen Amos, cousins Abbie-Mae Bowes and Megan Crossfield, sisters Eva and Stella Sandoval, and Dawn Gregson, who joins her daughters, Olivia and Beth, on stage.

Ian Mottram, meanwhile, who stars as the comedy lead Wishee Washee, will also be performing alongside his father, Frank, who plays the eccentric Charlie Chan.

Tickets can be booked by calling 07785 278 395.
